Tor Press have got our limited CDr ‘Debasement’ on their site now and you can pre-order a copy. I think there are only 100 so grab one soon if you don’t want to miss out. Each one comes with three lino prints, one each from from artists Ben Jones, Tom J Newell and Jake Blanchard, that correspond to each track.

Hello,
We’re pretty stoked to announce that we’re playing at Supernormal in Brazier’s Park, Oxfordshire, August 10th-12th. It’s a wonderful independent festival of experimental music and art that, according to the one member of Plurals who went last year and various others, is totally brilliant.
Read more about it here: http://www.supernormalfestival.co.uk
And listen to a Resonance FM broadcast about it here: http://www.supernormalfestival.co.uk/2012/03/resonance-broadcast-now-available-to-listen-online/
And see you there I guess.
It is with a sense of satisfaction that we are able to share a piece of quite great news - Record Collector magazine has included a nice write-up of our recent 12” on Dead Pilot in their January issue. Go out and buy a copy if you like, or just read it online (typos retained):
“Future collectors’ item alert!
When someone local says they’ve got a band and hands over the fruits of their labours on a CD-R, the recipient often expects earnestly mining indie, mod or punk stratas. It comes as a pleasant surprise, then, to receive a vinyl that harks back to early Throbbing Gristle, John Fahey in his musique concrète phase or even the drone music of Lamonte Young, John Cale and The Dream Syndicate.
This regularly-gigging outfit boasts Daniel Mackenzie (from Ekla Liena), Pete Dodd (Masturhate), Duncan Harrison, Dave H-S (Me With Others) and Mike Neaves (One Man Tea Dance). They take the stage behind their respective keyboards and dive in, plumbing cavernous, heaving drones peppered with found sounds or shards of melody. With the wax sides titled Exorcist’s Limbo and Legs Like Apparitions, their music is more about the overwhelming depth and mood created; like a monolithic radioactive river going on forever, smothering anything it engulfs (the title invites anyone to remix or tamper with the music). It’s also limited to 200 copies, available online from DeadPilotRecords.co.uk.

At some point soon we will finally be releasing our Debasement album (three long jams) on Tor Press, a combined label and art imprint run by amazing illustrator Jake Blanchard. It was recorded in Brighton at my house (AKA Dan and Dave’s house AKA Over Street) and despite the volume reached over the couple of hours total session time we didn’t appear to bother our neighbours, something that during that time was achievable just by existing.
There is no set date or anything but it is almost certainly going to be the next release, probably in a run of 100 and definitely involving some fantastic artwork. The last track ‘Glowing Generic Deity’ (named in response to the atrocious and gaudy depiction of various religious figures that passes for decor in a particular drinkery in Brighton) can be heard on the music player at the bottom of the page.
Our Colchester show, shot heroically by Mal Reynold’s wife.
Pascal Savy appears to have enjoyed what us, Petrels and Nadja did on our final tour date. Have a read and look and the lovely pictures.
The last date was on Wednesday 12th October at Cafe Oto in London and it was brilliant. Thanks to everyone who came to a show, gave us a place to stay, gave us food or booze, came away with a physical artefact or helped in some other way. And also to all the bands we played with.
And especially to Aidan and Leah - Nadja will be on the road again touring Europe in a few days so go and see them bust your brain in. Here are the dates:
19-10-11: Revolver, Oslo, NL
30-10-11: Propoganda, Vilnius, LI
09-11-11: Six Dogs, Athens, GR ^
10-11-11: Stage, Larissa, GR ^
11-11-11: 1ος Όροφος, Thessaloniki, GR ^
13-11-11: CK13, Novi-Sad, SRB ^
14-11-11: tba, Cluj-Napoca, RO ^
15-11-11: Trafik Klub, Budapest, HU ^
16-11-11: Kset, Zagreb, CR ^
17-11-11: Menza Pri Koritu, Ljubljana, SL ^
23-11-11: Marie Antoinette’s, Berlin, DE – w/ [sic]
02-12-11: Madeiradig Festival, Madeira, PT
It would be cool to see pictures or other documentation, for reasons of curiosity spiked with narcissism, so get in touch if you have anything.
Available now from us or the Dead Pilot store are copies of our 12” Imagining Perpetual Tower, plus plenty to download from the discography page of this site. Coming soon should be a three tracker called Debasement recorded in our basement, and the Latitudes Session we recorded at Southern Studios in London halfway through the tour. This is called Glass Crocodile Medicine and is a collaboration with Aidan Baker.
Overdrive and out.

Plurals - ‘Rubix Moon’
(unreleased)
A flyer is on it’s way soon but for now I can tell you that we’ll be playing in Folksdrone with some local act there, Mothers of The Third Reich and Bald Knobbers. I think it was a ‘bring some radical bands from Brighton’ type set up so it proves that at least one person who isn’t in the group likes us, which is nice.
A proper announcement of sorts coming soon, but it doesn’t hurt to mention that Plurals will almost certainly be embarking on a tour across the UK this October, between the 3rd and 11th. A few dates are confirmed, more in negotiation, more details to come.
